Our test kites come in three clearly defined conditions. Here's what A, B, or C means exactly: Condition A · Lightly used, usage time approx. 1 to 10 sessions. Fabric and prints: coating without significant wear or damage. Pigtails: plenty of color, little abrasion. Leading edge: without visible marks (no white breakage). Bridles: minimal wear. Patches: not clean, possibly a few small stains, free from excessive salt and sand. Condition B · Moderately used, usage time approx. 11 to 20 sessions. Fabric: visible signs of use, coating no longer completely "hard". Pigtails: may be more faded and slightly frayed. Leading edge: without visible defects. Bridles: slight signs of use, technically sound. Patches: not clean, light to moderate soiling possible. Condition C · Heavily used, usage time 20+ sessions. Fabric: more wear, noticeably softer. Pigtails: pale, with more abrasion and fraying. Trailing edge: may show white breakage. Bridles: technically sound, more wear than B. Patches: possible, but not mandatory. Each test kite comes from either Our KITE BUDDY test pool (our own test sessions, YouTube content) or directly from the Core test pool (official test events). In both cases, the evaluation is based on identical criteria, so the kite's condition is irrelevant. The technology of the Core Pace Pro: The technical basis is the combination of a complete Aluula airframe and a fixed bridle without pulleys. Aluula is extremely stiff and has low stretch. For you as a test kite buyer, this is the crucial point: While conventional Dacron kites become soft over time, the Pace Pro retains its shape stability almost like on day one and delivers the crisp feedback of a new kite even after intensive testing. The Pace Pro has 3 struts, is more agile, turns loops faster, and requires a more active flying style. Why is Aluula so advantageous for a test kite? + Aluula hardly stretches at all. As a result, the flight characteristics of a used Pace Pro hardly change, whereas Dacron kites lose stiffness over time. Can I also use the Pace Pro for relaxed cruising? + It's possible, but the kite wants to be ridden hard. It's like a sports car. Its strengths are best demonstrated when flown aggressively.
